Project Typology
REX Developments currently has three multifamily projects in active development in Koreatown, Los Angeles — totaling 96 units across three distinct buildings, each with a unique design identity and unit mix strategy.
905 Irolo Street · Koreatown, Los Angeles, CA · Construction Q2 2025
Project Overview
Sky Lofts is a 34-unit, 7-story multifamily residential development located at 905 Irolo Street in Koreatown, Los Angeles — one of the city's densest, most walkable, and fastest-appreciating neighborhoods. Designed and developed entirely by REX Developments, the project leverages Type III wood-frame construction over a Type I concrete podium to maximize density, efficiency, and structural performance on an urban infill site.
The unit mix includes studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residences, each designed to appeal to young professionals and urban renters seeking design-forward living in a prime Los Angeles location. The building's contemporary facade features bold horizontal paneling, oversized glazing, and private rooftop terraces on upper units that offer sweeping views of the Los Angeles skyline. Building permit approval is in final stages with construction commencing Q2 2025.

1134–1138 Berendo Street · Koreatown, Los Angeles, CA · Construction Q2 2025
Project Overview
Ktown Lofts is a 45-unit, 6-story multifamily development at 1134–1138 Berendo Street in Koreatown, Los Angeles — the largest project in the REX Developments pipeline. Designed and developed in-house, the building employs Type III wood-frame over a Type I concrete podium and offers the most expansive unit mix in the REX portfolio: studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and spacious 4-bedroom residences.
Interior finishes are positioned at a boutique-tier standard — featuring floor-to-ceiling glazing, Calacatta marble kitchen backsplashes with integrated LED lighting, warm walnut millwork, and large-format tile throughout. The result is a rental product that competes with for-sale condominiums in finish quality, accessible to Koreatown's growing professional renter base. Permit approval is in final stages with construction commencing Q2 2025.

Project Overview
Blackhaus Apartments is a 17-unit, 5-story boutique multifamily development in Koreatown, Los Angeles — REX Developments' most design-forward project to date. Utilizing Type V wood-frame over a Type I concrete podium, Blackhaus delivers an intimate community of just 17 homes, each designed with the individuality and craft typically reserved for custom single-family residences.
Each unit is a true loft: double-height open living volumes, upper sleeping lofts accessed by custom architectural ladders, sage green shaker cabinetry, warm hardwood floors, Calacatta marble countertops, and botanical accent walls. The building's signature planted balconies — cascading greenery across all five stories — make Blackhaus one of the most visually distinctive new residential buildings in Koreatown. Permit approval is nearly complete with construction scheduled Q2 2025.
